I like that. :D Wouldn't fancy sitting in the back though... Going backwards and being tall wouldnt be on my side.

Im sure that was up for sale a year or so ago and the wheels were gold ?
Weird idea and dont think id wanna sit in the boot or put my prized possesions in there (Kids)
I know they had them in volvos , montego estates etc
Is it insured as a 7 seater or to carry 7 people ? I doubt it
Strange idea why you would want it it a tourer as bet theres no head room
Each to there own i suppose :?

Thats very good.
I looked at a Merc E240 recently with 7 seats.
Same principle two rear facing.
Whats involved in making that rear seat legal?.

You won't have any probs as long as it is properly fitted, the logbook says 7 seats, and you are insured for 7 people. The problem comes when insurance say you have a modified vehicle and the price goes up.

Best to take advice from MOT place about fitting, as they are the ones that will pass or fail it.

Oh yes, insurance will want a certificate or inspection report to say it's been fitted correctly.

(recently went through this with a van)

Just spoke to a mate of mine and he "thinks" its possible the vehicle may need to be inspected by vosa as there will be a change in the vehicle type on the v5
Also his insurance company should know there are extra seats in the car as when you insure a car there is a option of 4 or 5 seats
Id guess there not declared , Its a bit like when you put rear seats in a van and dont declare them , Invalid insurance
Id reather a van with rear seats as there will be the correct holes blanked in the floor for mounting them
Also id be concerned about the crumple zone in the back of a tourer

Those rear-facing seats are so funny to drive behind - anyone sitting in them always feels a right lemon you can tell by the way they don't dare make eye contact.

The car looks nice and the seat conversion looks well done, but lowered and sat on wide rims.
How long do you think rear tyres will last with 7 big fat brummy pissheads onboard?

Unless they're kids, in which case they wave and laugh when you wake back. Then the awkward hour of constant waving and trying to look busy when stuck behind them in traffic for an hour :?

If i was after another touring - i'd seriously consider that at 4k forgetting the rear seats - how many mtec2 tourings do you see in that condition? - the wheels are £1.5k on their own, and the leather looks like it in great condition, adding to the fact that it has air con - id rather have this then some of the sports out there!
