Hi guys,
In need of some new suspension and have had my eye on an H&R Cup Kit for a while. I remember some of the zoners having good things to say about the Cup Kit a while back.
Now I've had a 60/40, 35/35 and even 60/60mm drop in the past but they've always been with cheapo aftermarket suspension so I'm not totally sure I have a true understanding of which one is the best.
I'd quite like to go for a 60/40 drop again as I think it looked the best and seemed to handle well but am concerned about the practicality - I don't want to be losing my front lip on the many surrounding road bumps near me!!
Any suggestions? Do you think I can get away with a 60/40 drop without too much grief?
Cheers,
Nick
Which H&R Kit - 60/40 or 35/35??

I loved the 35/35 combo I had on my old 4 door, completely transformed the handling. H&R springs are some of the best you can get, and i'm pretty sure the shocks in the kit come from bilstein, so its a pretty good combo! In my opinion there was no loss in ride comfort either.
The 35/35 kit seemed to lower my old 4 door nearly as much as the so called 60mm springs on my touring, seemed to be effectively 40/45 over a standard e30.
This was the ride height:

The wheel offset was all wrong, and I had overly small tyres at the time, but gives you an idea.
Plus my old kit is available if you're interested

Are those vauxhall bbs 16s? et42? If so I have a set in the garage lol, might have to try them on mine! I would also be interested in the springs if the chap above isn't!BMracing wrote: This was the ride height:

They were BBS RX, 16x7, et38.
If the wheels you were on about were fitted to some special edition calibra v6's the yes they do look identical to mine! Not sure if the stud pattern/bore is the same though.
I'll let you know if NIX doesn't want the kit
