Been having problems for a while now with the idle on the moordoor, its now got to the point where its cutting out quite a lot when warm and sometimes its taking ages to start it back up.
Can I get some advice on the manual choke options that are available and costs. I know a lot of people say the weber is the best, just wondered what else is out there.
Cheers guys.
M10 carb/auto choke problems

Paid £60 for it, it hasn't actually arrived yet so i'm not entirely sure of the condition. Looks decent enough though. It does come with the m10 mounting plate though so should be already set up for this engine.
Hopefully it should have a bit more go!

Weber conversion does without the ecu and all the extra vaccume pipes.
You should be able to pick one up for around £30, quite often you need to buy a choke cable for it as a lot are sold without them, these are pennys. you can get service kits for them too, i bought a weber replacement for £25 for my old 316 and a service kit for around a tenner if i remember correcly. would be worth while rebuilding it with new gaskets and jets etc before fitting.

M10's with a carb are notorious for running like a dog and drinking fuel like a boeing 747,
a weber carb with a manual choke is a great upgrade as far as running /mpg is concerned, as for having more 'go' you have no chance
as for a price I have no idea,
I do know that in 1990 I paid 400 quid to have a weber conversion done to my 5 year old 316 turd
