M20B25 Engine weight

How much does it weigh? Does anyone know?

Im getting one palleted up to me this week and I also wanna get an engine stand so I can start to strip and rebuild it.

Wheres the best place to get rebuild parts, stock and uprated?

117 kg Dry weight i.e. no manifolds starter motor.Check out GFS and Eurocarparts for o.e. quality parts,also Cotswoldbmw on here

I have been informed the whole thing built up with gearbox/manifolds/wiring etc is 190kg

Its engine, manifolds and starter. No box, so be about 150kg then, cool means can get the 227 kg engine stand aswell when I start the rebuild.

Any good engineering places in the midlands for honing and lighten and balancing?
