m42 running probs

the engine is running so lumpey checked all icv pipes replaced eneyway new gaskets for manifold and still no joy some one please help

Have you gave it a good service recently?

New plugs, oil & filter, fuel filter, air filter etc etc

BMW's seem to respond really well to a good service

yep i brought car 2 weeks ago i have done the following air filter oil filter oil and plugs new water pump thermostat and radiator all new vacum pipes also the gaskets as well new track rod ends lower arms bushes as well . i have cleaned the in let manifold completley its like new i just cant work it out

Have you checked the coil and leads?

Check for air leak on the TB gasket etc too, mine had a small leak there once.

has your car been chipped? could be cause if so as these run badly with a chip that doesnt suit your ecu firmware.

what rpm does it idle at?
