"The 2.0 16V (F4R) engine delivering 172bhp at 6,250rpm and 200Nm at 5,400rpm, and the gearbox, are carried over. Thanks to the reduced weight, acceleration is improved with a time of 14.8sec to 400m from a standing start, and 27.2sec to 1,000m, compared with 15.1 and 27.7sec respectively for the standard version, helping this lower, firmer, lighter Clio to enter the exclusive group of sporting models capable of reaching 60mph in 6.8 seconds."
That is a clio 172 cup, so 80 kilos lighter, but 10 brake down on a 182.
I am not saying one will waste the other on the road, but I doubt there is a lot of difference. I'd be suprised if either was massively faster. The clio WILL be easier to drive faster round a track for sure.
I suspect driving the clio it doesn't give the impression of the speed..whereas an e30...
I like e30's, they are fun, but they arn't a modern car slayer sadly, unless you change the engine.
Jon, not a lot going on at coombe TBH, not worth taking a day off. Working on a Bank Holiday, are you trying to outdo the poles at the car wash!
