Me,the missus and kids were on the way out for dinner last night about 7pm (missus driving),when as we crested a slight hill and followed a downhill righthand bend at about 40mph,slow for this A road, the back end broke away to the left and then snapped to the right as my other half fought to correct it and we slammed into the roadside crash barrier and rolled onto the drivers side while spinning 1 and half times coming to rest back on 4 wheels(having destroyed the crash barrier!),and facing the wrong across the road! Car is destroyed and i believe it was the strength of the E30 that saved us as both the fire officer and paramedic that attended said the same, had we been in Lisa's citroen xantia i dread to think what would have happened!

Im working on posting some photo's i took today when i went to empty whats left of the car.

I will be buying another E30 when i can afford it,hopefully a touring.

Please all try your best to be as safe as possible on the roads out there.
Of all the people ive met, youre definitely one of them!

glad to hear your ok, indeed E30's are a stiff car.

I've been told they are too stiff structurally as there is no give in a high speed smash. So low speeds are great but high speeds no!

I'd hope they'd be happy about the idea if it was the car that saved them from more serious injury :)

Sorry to hear about the accident matey, though I can't say I care about the car when there are injuries involved. Hope everyone's okay and not in shock either or anything like that.

Sorry to be repititious, but good to know you're all fine after your experience. Cars are far easier to replace than people.
There are far too many cars on the road that just disintegrate when they hit something at anything above walking speed!!! I've seen a few horrors recently.
Stuart.
This is why I no longer drive an E30......
