Hi there trying to find out what ratio my diff is the numbers i have got off the old diff are

BM017

OR

4K6Q8165BMW

Look for a metal tab bolted to the case. The ratio, and whether it's an LSD, will be stamped on it.
It'll probably be hard to read until it's been cleaned up.

Ratio should be one of these;
3.64
3.73
3.91
Lift both back wheels clear of the ground and support properly.
Turn the propshaft one complete turn and see how many turns the wheels make.
Divide one into the other.
Youth is wasted on the young.

Should be a 3.73 if its never been swapped for another.
