Hi,

Iv owned my 316i for about 4months and its a great car with only 80,000 miles on the clock, but it lacks any real speed, and im lookin for ways to improve this. i seen that a 320is engine would give me an instant 190bhp, but is there any options as far as a turbo that would give a the same out come? what are your suguestions? as i am very new at this.

stick a 2.5 (m20) in 170bhp standard, chip it and your a bit closer and it'll cost less than £500, just upgrade brakes and suspension accordingly winkeye

The cheapest way to gain the power you want is an engine swap but not a one from a 320is

If your handy with the spanners have a browse through engine swaps section and make a choice from there

Welcome btw
