Dave, did you see the RD's I hd on the touring? They were done by BJV, cost me 150 for 4 or there abouts. Took their time though (3 weeks). Oh, watch it on the roads, they're all single track farm roads near there and I managed to scratch the feck out of my doors when I let a tractor pass!

I got my wheels done from BJV and would NOT recommend them, there were imperfections in the wheels and they would not redo them for me, within months of me putting them on the car they deterriorated, and that was with me cleaning them every time I drove the car. You get what you pay for.

Try Ross at RH Propaint. Give him a bell on 07787 556347. He is in north Essex right next to Big Bavarian Beauties (E30 Breakers) and has very competive rates for good quality wheel re-furbs.

Dave, I want the wheels on my IS refurbed so I will definately put my wheels foward to be part of a group.

Dave, who's the guy with the Stars 'N Stripes flag all over his shop on the way in to Essex? He's at a set of lights, with a car wash I think next to it. On the way from the M25 towards Harlow. Can't remember the Junction. Found a new guy in MK that does refurbishing, might see if he'll do my RD wheels and how much. Not sure on his quality though.

Yup I know the place, I was at BBBs last night. Should have asked him I guess! (I did speak to Andrew at BBB and he said they charge about £100. That's just for painting them)RowdyBurns wrote:Try Ross at RH Propaint. Give him a bell on 07787 556347. I'll make some enquiries this week and see what I can do for us all. I guess we are looking at having 20+ wheels done. Are they all going to be metallic silver or are any of you wanting a different finish?

I used BJV had great service and a great finish on my bbs cross spokes, but you know what people say" your as good as your last job."

Born on the 23 April 1990 320i Alpinweiss ll kabriolett! (SOLD BUT NOT FORGOTTEN !)

I've used BJV for all my alloys and I've had no issues with them....they were very helpful and I'd highly recomend them....true about the roads getting to them though the local BMW and Mercedes dealers use them too for their second hand and demo stock cars.

That sounds OK, I'd rather spend the money once and get the job done well.E30Mark wrote:£50+ each ishDHFiS wrote:Anyone know what Lepsons charge? I have 4 BBS 15s that need a refurb.

We use BJV at work for all our wheels and I have used them twice on my own wheels. Good finish and not too expensive. Although they have had my second set of BBS's for 2 weeks now!!!

I used Lepsons for my Alpina Softlines a while back, £53 exc VAT per alloy, total of 249 inc VAT for 4 x alloys.DHFiS wrote:That sounds OK, I'd rather spend the money once and get the job done well.E30Mark wrote:£50+ each ishDHFiS wrote:Anyone know what Lepsons charge? Finish was spot on

Though they did stick on the badges incorrectly so they were not orientated with the lock. Noticed this on collection and they sorted it out while I waited.

Cheers for the input on this gents, I have had to put a proper refurb on hold as a zoner needs to use my car next week and it's currently sat on a set of 15" bbs' with perished flat tyres. How council
I'm just about to start painting the wheels today, They have been shot blasted using a Karcher attachment to remove any loose paint and the shonky filler work someone has done in the past. I have skimmed the damage with metallic filler and have sanded them smooth with my trusty black and decker mouse.
Just need to finish a final bit of filler work then I can start laying on the primer, Thankfully it's a gorgeous day so it should all cure nice and quickly
I'll update this thread as and when I get pictures.
