I wish I was old enough to appreciate motorsport back in the 80's, it all looks so tame these days in comparison.

If you enjoyed that there's some good in car footage here from the 1983 Manx. Terry Hariman's comment at 1min40sec is priceless.

Yip both videos are rather impressive, It would have been fantastic to have been able to see these cars being put through their paces back in the 80's. It just isn't as good these days.

Great video. I love the noise and the car sweeping in and out of bends.
Does anyone remember this video. I love the slow motion jumps and sparks. The 190E gliding over the curb like a hovercraft.

That is brilliant footage. I am a bad passenger at the best of times, I don't know if i'd be able to get in a car with a complete nutcase(but ultimately very talented bloke)
A little bump, upset the car, so it just touched the inside wall and then stepped out. I wonder if even Ari knows how he got it through the yellow walls.

Some fantastic driving in those videos, particularly liking the E30 M3 at the Manx Rally though, wow!

would have been good to have seen some in-car footage of that m3 manx drive, I want to get hold of a copy of Colin McRea's manx metro 6r4 video, looks just as mental as Ari lol
I've seen the incar footage of the whole stage, and he still proceeds at unbelievable velocity with a shredded front left tyre, the car starts to understeer worse and worse on right bends - amazing to watch driving talent like that.

the video of the manix rally was thr same car that won the only round of the wrc in the 80s for bmw at the tiem. one of 12 prodrive shells ever made for ralling. it is now local to me still being rallyed but not as much and there is rumors prodrive wanted it back fro a large sum but he declined
