Aaah, the joys of rain, kickdown, original nokia tyres and a non lsd. Lane swapping fun.

If the cars a genuine sport it will have an LSD as standard regardless of auto or manual.
If the cars a standard M20 it will have an open diff UNLESS the original person ordering the car ticked the LSD box on the options list (or some monkey has retro fitted one).
So as per OP's question, no they didn't and it's "far fetched stuff" that all m20s came with LSD.

Look at the tag on the diff, it starts with an S, something like S3.91 or S3.73 or S3.64 etc then its an lsd. Rotate one wheel and if the other rotates the same way its an LSD ie both forwards together of both back together.ha22 wrote:There is a auto in a breakers yard, on it's belly and I didn't want to be under it bruising my knuckles to get the diff out and find out its non lsd.
