i tried a 3.91, 3.73 and 3.64

the 3.73 was my fave all round diff, and the car did a quicker 1/4 mile with the 3.73 than the 3.91

I'm with Karan on this. 3:73 would be a good choice. A nice compromise.

Not running a 2.7 yet but I was running a 3:73 but changed to a 3:64. It did take some on the "edge" off the performance.

3:91

Having tried 3:64 and 3:73 but 3:91 is definitely my preferred option, good for acceleration and top end, no problem on motorways.

I had a 3.25 on mine with an overdrive box. 8O

The gearing was immense, something like 3200 rpm at 100 in 5th. It pulled it as well and you could hang on to 2nd gear to about 65.....

3.64 open diff. This gives 75mph at 3000rpm. This is just right with my engine spec. as it pulls so well from 2000rpm.Means that overtaking trucks on single carriageway roads is stress free and all in 5th gear.

Hhmmm. I was wondering if anyone had done this.
I'm already running a 3.64 with the B20 and was curious if anyone was - or had been - running a 3.25 as I thought it may be a good upgrade for a later date, after my B27 is fitted.
