On a seperate note, who owened the grey 2dr 325i turbo which came on the drift circuit did a few laps and promptly blew the headgasket? Sounded great for the (short) while it lasted!

oh well i missed another good day
S38 Touring - I saw mid 13's from memory. That thing was quick!
I didn't realise it was Karan's dad in the 535d. That thing did reall well.
Did anyone see the Black E90 335d? That was doing 13.2 and beating all of the E46 M3's.
Guess which company mapped that

I ran a 16.032 @ 88mph.oakey wrote:16.1 @ 86 mphFrom memory as I forgot to collect my slip

Had a laugh though. Got refused to run twice for dripping fluids. I need to practice my "launches"
I to had problems off the line with too much wheelspin. I also had to change into 4th before the finish line as I don't rev mine over 6000rpm which hurt my time
It was a great day and it was good to see your car again Oakey

It's more than just a car dear!
I'm in Orpington most weekens and thurdays, I'll keep an eye out for you.Cotty wrote:I put my times in but didnt hand in a timing slip. I came second in my class though so no need or evidence of my failure
Alpina vs Hartge?
Love the touring by the way

Cumon guys! Your letting the 2.7 side down. Even a standard 325i sport that was there running our chip done it in 15.3 seconds!Mtech327 wrote:I ran a 16.032 @ 88mph.oakey wrote:16.1 @ 86 mphFrom memory as I forgot to collect my slip

Worse still.....our oil burner did it faster in 15.85!
No offense intended of course....get some launch practice in and you'll be doing high 14's.
Nice times gents
nice to see a 335i up in the top section of the times
i wish i was there, the funny thing was i actually had it all running on sunday. me and jaffro were driving it around my flat, well around the building
SO close. maybe i will race a few of you next year

I think I was revving the thing too much also (taking it to 6.9K in 1st and 2nd crossing the line in 3rd). I reckon my power is dropping off much sooner than I thought. My first time on the strip though.
My friend's mildly tuned 1275 mini does 1/4mile in 17 secs and his brother's 1275 mini has run a 15.2
Anyway...... enough excuses from me.
I'll be coming to your dyno Sal with Ant to get it properly set up and then I'll go back for a run what you brung day with some cut slicks

I have been advised that Mickey Thompson et street radial tyres are the way to go.oakey wrote: I'll be coming to your dyno Sal with Ant to get it properly set up and then I'll go back for a run what you brung day with some cut slicks
