As the weather sets in my battered old roof is finally giving up, and i'm starting to get puddles on my seats :( so need to get a new one fitted asap, and i was wondering were the other cabby owners in the zone go to??

the only thing i care about really is that it is new, i will (try to) fit, or pay a firm to fit it depending on price, quality, difficulty etc.....

i've seen the ones on ebay from the US, has anyone tried these yet? or is the best thing to go to bmw direct?

i know there are some companies in the south east that will fit/supply them for about £350, though it's a bit of a trek for me from the gloucestershire area, but if that was the recommendation then i would make the trip..... unless anyone knows someone local?

Also one of my tension cables is snapped, anyone know if they're supplied with a roof, or would i need to replace this first? will a new roof come with all the bits i need to do the job, or do i need to get other bits?

only got my E30 a year ago, and had a nightmare trying to restore it to its former glory, so would really appreciate some info, if anyone can advise me against further mishaps.

thanks,

Swiffer
