Oh, excellent. Thanks. Just been for a drive and realised its not actually the gear that 'clunks'. The clunk is more on depression and release of the clutch, if i release quickly, but im begininng to think its me just not being used to the car. It drives well enough, anyways.

Surprised by that. All the weinrots I've ever seen have been chromers. Don't think I've ever seen a plastic bumpered one... All the later ones seem to be Calypso.

Weinrot is a lovely colour anyway. An advantage not being metallic as well if the paint needs touching up.

yeah, i have not seen another one, again sorry for post jacking here

have seen a 320 2 door in what i reckon is weinrot with plastic bumpers and if it is the right colour its for breaking, i really could use the boot lid (save mine being repainted where my bikerack buckle rubbed a hole in the paint) and the drivers wing on mine whihc isnt quite the same colour

can anyone verify that is the right colour

shame i still havent found any body colour mirrors for it yet andyboy hadant a clue what i was talking about when i asked him

Can't verify obviously, but going by looks Robbo, I'd say that's definately Weinrot. Good luck getting the bits off it.

Can you adjust the gear selected maybe to help the gears go in better? I remember having the gearbox replaced on one of my old cars and the gearshift was shocking so I took the car back. 2mins later the adjuster had been turned and it was fine.

Jamies wienrot was a facelift car.

On the subject of 318i lux's, i have a brilliant red 2dr one. It has antracite cloth and had 14" BBS from new. I bought i solely for the shell which is near mint as it is what i'm using to reshell my S50 touring into next month.

Nice choice, identical to mine

A lot of the E30 crowd like the calypso red, but not the full complement of doors :D

Pay no heed to these folk
