im in the process of doing a set of 15" bbs mahle's (sorry no pics)
quite similar looking to these but not splits, going for a dark metalic grey rather than black,
to polish the dish im going to use the "bolt to the car,on axle stands,3rd gear and let it spin while sanding/polishing the dish"
theres a thread on how to do it on here somewhere!
not sure if you can do it with splits though because of all the little bolts may get in the way,
your best bet is to split the rim and have just the outer dish polised (or chromed)
there is quite a few guys on here who favour the polished rim so you may get more advice!
GOOD LUCK!
P.S. what colour is your car?

I know a guy who will split the wheels, paint the centres, paint the rear drums, re-polish and laquer the lips and re-assemble.. about £450 for a set of 4. He is in chester and doesnt have a website - he doesnt need to advertise
Bollocks to this 24v scrap!
I split mine and painted the centres but the outer dishes I polished myself...you will have to take the bolts out but not necessarily split the wheels . I used a metal polish and a polishing kit for my drill I bought from Machine Mart..but if you lacquer them it will always peel off

you might find it cheaper to buy a set of new, already polished lips. especially if yours have any damage.
if i was building a set of 15in RSs i'd be buying polished stainless steel outer. not cheap, but it's the only way to keep a nice mirror shine that isn't a total ball ache.
polished bbs on a daily driver will need a rinse every couple of days and a polish once a week to keep mirror fresh. in winter they'll need a rinse after every journey

mine need keeping clean and a bit of polish once a month

If the wheels are polished correctly and the alloy is of good quality they are not as much of a pain as people make out. I polished the lip on some standard BBS about 2 years ago and they are still as fresh as when I did them. The new owner does not polish them much either

I mirror polished the Rondells on my e34 sport and to keep them upto scratch i give them a clean every 4 weeks, its the brake dust that eats them like hell if you dont keep on top of them, i dont find them any harder to look after than a normal set of alloys.
It takes a bit of time doing them but its well worth it mate.
