I'm no expert, but you need to state the intended use of the car?

(edit) Sorry I should read the title. But more info would help.

if you don't know the benefits, why do you want one?

basically instead of one wheel spinning and losing traction, the LSD distributes torque to both wheels - therefore providing more grip and drive

An LSD with the same ratio as you have now will reduce fuel economy I'd imagine as there is more mechanicals to turn albeit very little but certainly wouldn't make fuel economy better.

The way you would increase fuel economy is if you were doing alot of motorway miles and changing to a lower ratio diff. This would make the engine run alittle bit slower when cruising.

if you want to give it a bit of welly then go for the 3.91 ....if you are a bit more grown up and think economy is more important go for the 3.64.......as for a lsd do you really need it are you worried when you want to get both back wheels to spin at the same time ...if so you are in the welly catagory and go for a 3.91 and thrash the bollocks of it

as you have a motorsport cab i tend to think of you as more grown up so go for the 3.64 and forget about wheels spinning :D
