thick female needs help... paint codes?

hiya

i need to get my cars paint code as always there are a million variants and i need to get some paint ordered.

its sterling silver, and the only numbers i can see are 244/7 dos this mean anything?

Acoording to http://www.paintscratch.com/search.html (just did a quick google search) 244 means Sterling Silver. Dunno what the /7 means though sorry.

Have your paintwork scanned to get an exact match..

Best way is to phone the local dealers with the last seven digits of the chassis number, they can then give you the exact code, one colour can have different shades, so this is the best way to find out.

ok cheers for the help guys, the car and the paint wont be united til painting day, so the person mixing the paint cant check the car himself as im getting it done in wales and the car is in the lakes right now.

the /7 is probably the shade or batch number.

as Simon suggested even standard colours have different shades/variations.
