So Iain,you have built the ultimate E30 touring to discover that the wife is unhappy to go out in it. Some would bin the wife...as this is not an option for you the car has to go.Or does it?....rust free E30's do not grow on trees... how about making the car a little more wife friendly? Soften the suspension a little,swap the cam for a milder one, maybe even an autobox? Be a better car for her to use,you get to keep both,you can sell that Merc,and the zone continues to benifit from your input. You could even still have the damn motor-bike.... BTW I am going to need your help to get my sodding cylinder head sorted.....

I hope that if Iain does decide to sell that the car goes to someone who will keep in the manner to which it's become accustomed.
It's one of the few E30's I'd consider replacing mine with.
