Yes there are some about without a sunroof.
I think its a good thing as these are prone to rust.
Having no hair and fair skin means i can't use a sunroof when the sun is out anyway :)

I love my sunroof on a warm summers day, gets a lot more air moving through the car seing as they don't have the luxury of air con!!

If you find a car in good general condition then im sure the roof will be fine, mine is a 91 and hadn't rusted before i re-sprayed the car last summer.

Just make sure you use it accasionally, hadn't opened mine for about 18 months and it needed some pursuation!!
A few goes and it had free'd up lol

Oh and if your after a peach of an IS i'll be letting mine go soon

welcome to the zone mate.

the non-sunroof versions do seem to be thin on the ground, but if you can find one, you wont have to worry about it rusting.

good luck in the search.

Plus the whole sunroof mechanism (especially the electric ones) are extremely heavy and that weight is located as far as possible from the car's roll axis meaning the roll acceleration is very high.

Non sunroof cars handle better and roll less.

Wait for it.........

i'm on my third iS, all have sunroofs, one was rusty the other two have been perfick, just remember to have a wind when you go to buy. you'll know its rusty by the tinkling sound and the feeling that someone's poured a box of corn flakes down your back!

Its one less thing to go wrong but I'd rather have it. Just fitted a rust free one from Chris Warburton to replace my rotten one.
