Many pre-facelifts used 073. Around 1988, they had 164 and 173, wheras from 90 onwards they were usually 380s.

Jetronic was used on early cars . Later cars (post 87?) used Bosch Motronic 1.1/1.3. Mine runs 1.3.
Not too sure on this as I'm a bit of a noob but hopefully someone who knows their stuff will come along....

well according to the posted list, 325is from 78-80 used used L-Jet and were E28 models
also apparantly E28 525is and 528is and 628is had a choice of M30 AND M20 motors :/

Sorry man. Should have been clearer. I was thinking of early E30s as such.ed325i wrote:Jetronic was never used on the 325.AlpineAde wrote:Jetronic was used on early cars . Later cars (post 87?) used Bosch Motronic 1.1/1.3. Mine runs 1.3.

The only E28s with the M20 are the 520i and 525e. The 525i and 528i were M30 engines. The US version of the 525e was the 528e, but ran the same 2.7l M20 engine.Fushion_Julz wrote:...also apparantly E28 525is and 528is and 628is had a choice of M30 AND M20 motors :/

I was just (sarcastically) pointing out that the list may not be quite perfectly correct, is all...
