Nothing to learn

Saw a guy washing his E30 the other day so stopped to see if he was a zoner, as he wasn't,
I offered advice as to how to join up as there is always someone who knows the answer no matter what the question. Was promptly told that there was nothing he didn't know about E30's. I told him I had one of the last of the 4 wheel drive M3's. He said he'd always wanted one of them. I left before he dissapeared up his own arse.

In this situation wouldn't it be great to be outrageous?
You could have asked for a look at the engine, and then when he showed you grab a hand full of wiring and yank it out and say "Lets see you put that back together then!"

You should have got out a gun, shot both his kneecaps off, got out your keys and scratched all the way round the car, slashed all the tyres with your flick-knife, thrown a brick through the window, set fire to the car and then stamped on him. And then said "next time someone tells you about the zone, you treat them with respect, punk" Then walked away nonchalantly smoking a cigarette.

Is there an e30zone rival/nemesis? I can picture someone on it now complaining about the zoner they met today!
"Yeah, he was all "i had one of the last 4x4 m3s" so i just humoured him, told him i really wanted one too! Bloody zoners, think they know it all!"

Im sorry guys, what is the problem, the E30 owner have maybe other intrest than cars and he just have it because he likes it.... He tryed maybe to be friendly to keep on with your chat... U see I was before an Alfist and one day long time ago I saw an Alfa 33 and I told him, nice car dude! He replyed back that he wasnt agree with me, he tought it was a rust bucket (something its frankly is)

i agree its not a hanging offence mistake he's made erik but he's denounced the zone saying he knows everything about e30's already then tripped himself up but like said he'd could have just been humouring him to get rid of him as he didnt want to talk about his car to a stranger.78dude wrote:Im sorry guys, what is the problem, the E30 owner have maybe other intrest than cars and he just have it because he likes it.... haven't seen your car mate,
just thought that the violence and gun crime was a particularly Nottingham-like response!!
Think there's quite a few Notts based Zoners, do you know if they ever meet up anywhere?

I know there used to be a fair few E30 owners (not zoners as far as I know) who used to meet up at Forest Fields, where the Goose Fair's held, on Sunday evenings.
And there's a BMW/Audi/Porsche/Merc garage called Series 9, near the Ice Arena - the owners son's really into his E30s, and a lot of his friends are often knocking round in E30s - me among them sometimes. That's kind of the hub of E30dom in Nottingham I'd say...

Were you whatching the 'ladies' strutting their stuff at Forest Fields? Or have they moved on to another part of town?
Youth is wasted on the young.
I am familiar with both landmarks, the Forest is right next to my house and I have been known to hang around at Series Nine.
i was just wondering if there were any regular meets, as the only thing cooler than driving an e30 would be to drive in a massive convoy of e30's.
Should probably start a thread in the meets section really....

Any time, day or night
I normally see at least one of said "ladies" as I drive to work at 8.30 in the morning

are you shitting me a 4x4 m3? is it wrong to be nursing a semi?
currently without a BMW ðŸ˜
Unfortunately mate they are shitting you.
The 4x4 M3 was made up to test the knowledge of a man who claimed to know everything about e30's.
if you wants a 4x4 M3 you'd have to make it yourself, possibly using Escort/Sapphire Cosworth running gear?
Don't know if it's ever been done before.
