Lower touring.....

I wanna lower my touring - I was considering either the spax PSX kit or the H&R Coilover kit. Main question is: what differences would i notice with the coilovers for the extra money?? Also, coilovers only drop 50/35 and spax drop it 55/40 - but what options are there if I want the car lower than th...

I wouldn't ever split the main power lead that feeds the h/u!! It's usually a pretty thin cable which is only designed to take the small current the h/u needs. An amp normally draws a lot more current - even if it's not a big powerfull amp! If you try and draw a big current through it, there is a ch...

Twiggy, You will need a power cable run to the amp (presuming your battery is under the bonnet?), a phono (rca) pair from the h/u to the amp and speaker wires running back to the front speakers (and to the rears obviousely!). You will also have to run a small remote (rem) cable from the h/u to the a...

Cheers Ian, Thought it should go to ground but wanted to check before i connected it up!! Think I saw on the old zone last week that someone had used the centre panel from a lhd car so the stereo was mounted the other side, to avoid hitting the indicator stalk with the screen. My question is, do ya ...

New head unit with motorized screen.....

Just wondering if anyone else has one installed??

The cable that taps into the hand brake wire - is that cct made or broken when the handbrake is on??

Basically, to bypass it, do i need to ground it, or find a 12v feed?

Cheers,
Rob.

I've got a similar sounding problem with my 325i - i've tried testing the icv as instructed in the old haynes manual - it passes all the voltage & resistance tests, but haynes states that if disconnected with the engine running, the idle should rise to approx 2000rpm - mine doesn't have any effect w...

I'm thinking of getting some from www.bmtown.com - i want the complete replacement units - Ԛ£250 and they offer a choice of chrome or black (i'm assuming this is the ring around them?).

Anyone used/seen these and can vouch for the quality??

Track Rod Ends...

Hi guys, Just took my touring to have the tracking, etc, done - they my main problem (a split on the inside of a rear tyre!) but have told me they are unable to adjust the alignment as the track rod ends are seized! Not knowing much about suspension, would i be able to free these up with some WD40 a...

You could always get a small 4 channel amp which will take low level speaker inputs and hide that away somewhere.

It will give you a much better sound!!
