Re: Touring rear quarter body colour trim help/advice...

I'll make sure I pay attention to these then!!!

If the clips even look knackered, I might just buy a whole new set - rather spend £24 than have a boot full of water!!!

Re: Touring rear quarter body colour trim help/advice...

Ah, right. So i'll prise it off carefully when I get a chance and see what happens!!! Hopefully I'll only need a foam gasket and the joiner part!!! Annoyingly, the gutter trim on the other side seems to spring up at the end near the door mirror and won't just push back down - hence why I thought I m...

Re: 2nd Head Unit Mounting Options?

I have previously had a standard h/u size (single din) eq, mounted in the centre console, under the heater controls!!! (Think it was the kenwood kgc-9044 - still got it somewhere!!!) Very easy piece to remove, just cut it with a decent knife iirc and clipped in the cage - bingo!!! Was even room unde...

Touring rear quarter body colour trim help/advice...

So I'm thinking about getting on with some exterior tidying, (probably, one day!)... These curved pieces of trim around the back edge of the rear most side glass... my drivers side one is coming away at the top, presumably because there's been no gutter trim in place for some time. Should these piec...

I've not looked recently, but you'll do well to find a good free air sub!!! A true free air sub is designed to work from a baffle, rather than a box!!! I'm sure there was an e30 with, maybe 3, free air subs in the boot, with a shaped baffle angling them towards the ski hatch! That was a long while b...

Very generic - the volume of the enclosure should be adjusted depending on what sub you use!!! Presumably you want the measurements so you can make your own box??? So surely you could measure it up easily enough??? Measure the width and height of the boot, find the specs for your sub, (enclosure req...

Cool, so 7822's should be all good then!!! No idea if the part no. is on the plug itself - I assume it should be!!! Bit of a problem with time to deal with it to be honest and my tools are quite well buried at present!!! Was recommended the BPR6ES by Ant when he built my engine, so I've always stuck...

Spark plugs - NGK question...

Looking to buy some NGK BPR6ES spark plugs and I've noticed, (especially on ebay), that there seem to be a lot of people selling these with another four digit code on the end!!! I found an ebay listing stating 'for BMW E30' selling NGK BPR6ES 7822. Can anyone confirm that is what I want??? (For my M...

Every now and again there are feelers for this - people want them, but no one will ever send off an original to have copies made!!! Never sure if it's lack of commitment, (financial or otherwise), fear of not getting the original back, or just the fear of reducing the value of the original!!! I've a...

Not that I would, but they do let you and the buyer agree to cancel the sale, therefore cancelling the associated fees!!!
Wouldn't think you could do that too often though!!!

Re: Oil pressure light on dash...

Will have to check the wiring - I'll have a look in the wiki tomorrow!!! Was fine tonight, but instinct tells me it's electrical!!! The light didn't come on at all at idle - wasn't giving it the beans (especially with the pressure light starting to glow), but was cruising and driving fairly gently!!!

Ski hatch, in a touring???

I've got a large sub taking up most of the boot of my touring!!!
I have knocked the ski hatch through and had subs firing throught the ski hatch, where the rear arm rest is, in a couple of saloons!!!

What size box you want will depend on your sub - tape measure time!!!

One more question...

I have noticed some people mention 'non-abs'....

How do I check if one's I'm seeing are ABS?

And what parts would be required to turn a non-abs assembly fit an ABS car??? (I'm assuming I can swap over the missing bits from what already exists on my car???)
