Re: E46 325ti flat bat now starting issue...

Checked the bat - 11.5v held overnight so gave it a try - runs perfectly!!!
Left it running for half hour while I sorted a few bits - hopefully all good tomorrow, when I've actually got a spare hour to drive it down the road, get it cleaned, get some pics and get it up for sale!!!!!

Re: E46 325ti flat bat now starting issue...

Thanks for the reply Brian - I'm suspecting the battery is not great, but with the bits that need doing on this, I just want to get it running - expected it to still start with jump leads connected for a while!!! The only battery I could use at the mo is in the borrowed focus I'm running around in a...

E46 325ti flat bat now starting issue...

Ok, so left the car standing for a while over winter, went to sort it out and the battery was a bit flat, charged it and started fine. When I switched the car off, the blowers kept going, (fsr), so instead of using the car, I put it back, knowing I'd be stuck at work with a flat battery!!! Bought a ...

I've seen some of those kits from googling, but I'd be a bit worried about the plate it's made from, taking the force in an accident!!!
That and obviously finding a good mounting point in the car to mount it to!!!

Re: Baby/child seat.. Maxi-cosi Axiss...

Hmmm, it's the belts being on a cord that worries me!
Car not with me to test at the moment, even if I could find one to test fit!
Shame, 'cos I was ready to pull the trigger while there's a nice discount available.

Guessing I'll have to start my research over again, again!

Not sure what category to stick this in really, or what the chances are, but wondering if anyone has any experience with the maxi-cosi axiss car seat (3 point belt, not isofix!)????? E34 6cyl/v8 differences? Swap?

Having missed out on the E34 I wanted, (still kicking myself!) I'm considering another one... however, it's a 520 auto, which would be fine for a short while, but I will definitely be wanting an engine swap, sooner rather than later!!! I've read a lot of stuff online saying you cant really fit a v8 ...

So we'll be getting rid of the juicy X5 now the other half is starting a job with a longer commute - she wants something a bit smaller and a lot more economical! H/U wise - all modern ones will stand out a bit - I looked for one where I could at least colour match the buttons/display and ended up with a Pioneer with DAB & BT - can confirm the BT works perfectly for phone calls and streaming audio! Hmmmmm, the rust looks worse at the front than the rear (from what I could see) and is inside the door shut of the front door. E34 Rusty sill advice...

Hi guys... I may be about to purchase an E34 touring, with rust on the drivers side sill! The front jacking point is still solid enough to use, but is very crusty and a bit damp - I can only guess at that point it wants an inner sill (do they have those?) and/or a bit of floor, as well as the outer ...
