it will only gain you more power if the original is a "restriction" on the engines air supply at the higher end of the rpms, the restriction might be the throttle butterfly size before its the air flow meter, you would have to measure as i dont know if thats a "restriction" on the E30 engines and ev...

The biggest problem we have with the RHD is the steering coloum in the way of the exhaust/turbo. There has been someone who routed the exhuast under the engine to fit the turbo on the inlet side of the car, it looked nice, but again, was a bitch would also give more lag as well due to longer pipewo...

as for 200bhp from a 2.5 engine, i do kinda agree there... eg... Fiat Coupe Turbo,,, 220 bhp from 2.0 20v turbo.... and still gets about 23 mpg or the lesser 16v turbo 190 bhp standard figures btw. and that gets 28 mpg. you cant honestly be comparing an old 12v 6cyl to a newish 4cyl 20v turbo for p...

do you mean what power output would equate to on a naturally aspirated engine? 1.8 16v or 2.0 8v, but that would depend entirely on what the manufacturer decides the output should be, for example a R5 GTT is around 130bhp, my ford mondeo 1.8 16v is 115bhp, but theres other cars running 1800 16v's wi...

it was the early vaux built heads had porousity issues, so the oil leaked into the coolant making a curry mix in the expansion tank, coscast heads( the ones cosworth did for vaux were free of this issue)
