Interesting. Maybe someone can help me find some pics of it? for a motorbike version have a google search for EXUP valve, its used on most 4 cyl yamahas, helps improve mid range torque as 4cyl bike engines are revving to 14k to make their power so they can be a little gutless lower down the ...

I've been looking at engine swaps to do to my 318is but I'm having trouble justifying handling compromises. With the M3 running gear the steering is so direct and controllable, I dont want to loose the feel. Jai why not turbo your 318is then? wont add that much weight to the car, give you more powe...

The biggest problem we have with the RHD is the steering coloum in the way of the exhaust/turbo. There has been someone who routed the exhuast under the engine to fit the turbo on the inlet side of the car, it looked nice, but again, was a bitch would also give more lag as well due to longer pipewo...

LONDON ԚÂ A motorcyclist who filmed himself tearing along country roads at up to 150mph has begun serving a jail sentence. Wayne Soman, a 32-year-old carpenter, strapped a video unit to the petrol tank of his 900cc Kawasaki, waved to the camera, then sped off to cover 45miles in 25 minutes, the...

as for 200bhp from a 2.5 engine, i do kinda agree there... eg... Fiat Coupe Turbo,,, 220 bhp from 2.0 20v turbo.... and still gets about 23 mpg or the lesser 16v turbo 190 bhp standard figures btw. and that gets 28 mpg. you cant honestly be comparing an old 12v 6cyl to a newish 4cyl 20v turbo for p...

im not sure why im not a fan dont get me wrong; superb engine, ultra ultra reliable it does what it was deisgned for and makes a lvoely noise, but for all that weight i just think the power output is pretty shocking. Even with mods you still only getting 200 brake from a 2.5? what has weight got to...

i doubt the bmw bell housing will bolt onto a toyota block...if your willing to spend the money and get the block bored and tapped in the necessary places for the 'box to bolt into, but that seems a lot of hassle when a prop shaft is easier to get butchered to fit...as some one has already said, ch...

do you mean what power output would equate to on a naturally aspirated engine? 1.8 16v or 2.0 8v, but that would depend entirely on what the manufacturer decides the output should be, for example a R5 GTT is around 130bhp, my ford mondeo 1.8 16v is 115bhp, but theres other cars running 1800 16v's wi...

you could probably mate it up to the bmw box, but the question is how much would it cost to do? almost anythings possible if you can chuck loads of money at it seen a bmw with a rover v8 on throttle bodies so its just a case of how much you have to spend on the conversion Was that on a bmw box or d...

personally if it was me i would use an sr20det engine and box, cheaper to buy than the cossie and probably just as cheap to tune(Ԛ£1000 quid will get you around 280bhp), chain driven cams as well so nice and strong SR20DET had cast pistons and rods, so it cant (in standard form) handle either ...
