1144 are great road pads, and not too harsh on disks and pretty quiet. 1155 are AWESOME fast road / trackday pads, the level of friction is incredible and they dont fade until the disks are actually glowing but they are very aggressive on the disks themselves and are also quite noisey when used very...

If i brought it back here at my own expense (which would be hundreds of pounds and 2 days of time gone) the insurance company may still not choose to sell me the salvage cheaply, its just not worth it sadly. As there was no oil leaking and car was driveable it seemed reasonable to "limp it home" but...

Yeah its a bit gutting not being able to keep the salvage, as that would have easily made my mind up what "ring car" to get next, as i would have got another E30 if i had all those spare bits for it. Not sure what im going to pick now though, probably wont even thinking about it till around new year...

Gutting thing is the car is still in germany and the insurance company are BOUND to scrap it there locally, so i wont get a chacne to buy the "salvage rights" to it, so the wheels and interior etc are all going to end up in a german scrapyard!

Hello lads, im back online now :D NO oil leaked from my car at all, not one drop, the sump was completely undamaged, as Nick says the only thing that dripped from my car was a bit of water from the engine with a very weak summer coolant mix, and 90% of that ended up right next to the barrier instnat...

Its the perfect combination of having a bit of pace, but due to the low output per litre, still being a good lazy cruiser.

Rotrex's are fantastic bits of kit, but a little pricey. SP30-94 on a well specced 325 motor would be awesome though :D As above, they tend to make more boost at high RPM, which IMHO is perfect, because it means you can keep the CR high and dont end up with loads of midrange torque, its a much more ...
