Power Steering Banjo Bolts

In the process of replacing the knackered M40 engine in my 316i, I've misplaced both of the banjo bolts from the power steering pump. It's another M40 gone in so I need to find a pair of new banjo bolts and after searching, I have no idea what size they are and so I am unsure where to find the bolts...

Re: 1991 316i Renovation

It has been a little while since I last posted, but in my spare time I've been dismantling the engine and its fairly clear that it has pretty much had it. There are too many parts that would need to be replaced, including the block, as one of the cylinders is completely gouged to hell so my only opt...

Re: 1991 316i Renovation

It has been a little while, but recently a clear weekend, my wife being away and some mates being free all lined up... it was time to remove the engine. After removing the bonnet and most of the front end trim, the car was ready to go up on axle stands and my mates and I could start taking everythin...

Re: Bolt size for mounting engine on a stand

thanks very much, will look at getting some threaded bar, or as you say, just re-using the bolts from the bell housing if they are long enough :D

Bolt size for mounting engine on a stand

As per the title!

My M40B16 engine is coming out and I want to mount it on a stand - what size of bolt/threaded bar do I need to do so?

Looking to emulate this set up...(at the 4 minute mark)

1991 316i Renovation

A clear day on Saturday for the start of my E30 journey! Back in the day, the car used to belong to my Nana. She bought it from a friend who used it sparingly as a company car and sold it to her when it was only about 6 months old. After my Grandmother passed away, the car passed to my Uncle, who dr...

Transporting a Non-Starter

Hi guys and gals,

I need to move my 1991 E30 90 miles from its current location in Bristol to my house in Hampshire but it has a seized engine so driving it is not an option. Anyone know of any reputable car transportation companies in the South of England that I could contact for quotes?

Thanks!

Re: Hello from North Hampshire!

Definitely don't ditch it! A family car like that with childhood memories is worth the effort. Any more details or pictures? No further pictures at the moment, these are just some my Uncle sent me, but its due to be delivered to me on a flatbed truck next month so I'll hopefully have some more phot...

Hello from North Hampshire!

Hi everyone, I'm going to be taking delivery of my Uncle's old 316i in the next month or so after I have cleared space in my garage for it, its been sat waiting to be restored for years and he never got round to it so the car and the task of getting it back to its former self is falling to me! There...
