Being as i am skint that was the right time right price scenario.
much as i would love a 325 or maybe even a 335 i wont have the money to buy them this year.

try metering the output on the battery with all electrics on and running with headlights on should put out between 12.8 to 13.2 volts any less then charge battery and take to spares store for drop test. maybe dead cell showing, if not your alternator is gonna be at fault.

even if run what you need to do is. 1. drain complete system. 2, refill with CORRECT fuel. 3. i would change plugs. 4, most definatly change fuel filter. refill every 1/4 tank used for first few runs just to finish diluting the stuff that did not drain out. 5, try not to beat yourself up too much as...

when you say you have had battery off.
you need both poles disconnected for at least 3 mins so that ecu loses total and residual power.
if you only removed the negative pole the ecu will retain residual power and wont reset upon reconnecting.
what engine is fitted?

things to check. firstly wait for quiet time and shut yourself in car, when you switch ignition on (with everything else off) you should here a either a click or slight buzz. that will be the fuel pump relay and pump itself. on cranking the engine is it turning over? if not try putting car in gear (...

to do the test warm engine.
be careful where you put fingers hands and arms.
readings should be similar across all the pots.
if there is any problems it will normally show on one, maybe two pots and the readings will be way off the mark from the rest.
hope this helps fella and good luck.

have a look at the rotor arm, depending on model, as unless bosch ones are fitted they tend to melt.
causing erratic idling and cut outs.
when mine came off there was no plastic insulation left.
how scary that it still ran.
oh the engineering..... fantastic
