If I was looking at o/e type replacement I would go for the Ansa replacement and if you want a throaty sound then there sport range is very good.

after you have checked the temp sensor I would also have a look for a small leak around the inlet side. A small gap can close quickly when warm.

Re: suitable manifold?

I'm using the standard m30b35 manifold and downpipes to just past the steering knuckle, then two into one collector and straight through to the back box. Seems to work well.

How bad is the old one or is it the pipe that's had it ? Do you still have it ?

If so get an exhaust fabricator to make one up for you.

Re: Starter and brakes , please help

First check all the earth straps as bad earth will cause symptoms like this. Could be a duff solenoid though. I also suggest you try a known good battery as just holding a charge does not mean a good app output.

Brakes, when the pedal is firm if you hold your foot on it does it start to sink ?..

Re: shifter parts for swap using a getrag 265 box

I used a m20b20 locating rod which put the gear stick exactly in the right place, but I am in position 2 on the engine mounts, if your in position 3 then the m20b25 rod will most likely be the one to use. As for the gear stick it self, I used the 1.9 z3 item.

Very good, I give him type 2's with almost no floor and it comes out properly done. Or I have a man in reality that will put it back to better than quantity did but you will pay for it.

it used to line up well but there has been the odd push here and there so slightly out now. But it is a fun car and the back comes out a lot with me.
I used cab bumper ends to make it meet the arch line I can't remember if neil did the same.

You really need to use metal bumpers or it will never st right.
Rear light panel could be done. Think it would be all down to measurements and skill. I went the paint it and get the smaller look.

If you want to pee face the back properly, you will need inner and out rear arches plus a rear panel to cut up.

Re: Touring De-facelift.

Spot on before it got pushed a bit, it has the pre-facelift front valance and bumper mounts. for the rear you need to cut the whole valence off and the Tray's each side. Then re-weald up the Tray's in the new position. Neil did his rear bumper different to me. I used the original chrome mounts and m...
