I had the same kinda thing with my E46, all hot apart from the bottom hose, ended up being the thermostat, it also caused it to be a right pain to bleed any air out of, so changed thermostat and away we go..

So try a new or even take out the thermostat and see what happens...

Yep, as the water needs to flow through the heater matrix, if it's locked somewhere, it won't produce heat..

I had a coolant change in my E46 and an air lock developed about a week later.. need to make sure the system is fully bled, this is the first check as it's the cheapest... :D

A couple of things that might help.. 1: Remove thermostat completly and see if this helps. 2: If rad replaced recently, make sure you haven't got an air lock. 3: Make sure your coolant level doesn't drop over night (might have a leak) 4: Is rad fan working ok? 5: Agree with Geeman, might as well rep...

Lexus type rears..??

Does anyone know... if you buy a set of Lexus style rear lights.. do they come with bulb holders, or are the standard ones used. I know i'm going to get burned for this thread... but they are for my E46 and i have found a cool set in the USA. not chrome, but BLACK to match the car.. :D So was wonder...

OK,

mine only seems to kick in when it gets to 2500 revs, and then seems to be really sensitive..

I think I have the wrong white plug in the dash..!! would this be the cause..

If so does anyone have a 1 377 670..??

Looking to buy a dash board coding plug for my 87' 325 as i seem to have a 318 one in there... this would explain why i can take the rev counter off the scale..!! :D

Just had full respray, picked the car up and left it in the rain, came back to it today and where the water has dried on the boot, it has left really bad water marks. Been really sunny and hot here today.. Its hard to describe, but it's like the water has "sunk" into the top coat where the water has...

OK,

HID kit or Angel eye kit, which is the best and easiest to fit//??

I've read a topic somwhere I think where you have to take your headlights apart in the oven for angel eyses..?? not too keen on this one..

Any sugestions..??
