Re: Boosted M42 head gasket options

Thanks il have a look into that. I don't really plan on crazy boost maybe 10 psi but I'd rather be safe than sorry!

Boosted M42 head gasket options

Are there any aftermarket head gaskets suited to boost with the m42? I've read the standard CR is 10:1 and a friend of mine is running a forged 10:1 f4r at 330hp safe however I was thinking a slightly thicker gasket would drop it a little and be safer. I only plan to run 10-12psi with a positive dis...

Re:

Unfortunately not although if I could find out how much is machined from the legs I could measure the rest up with internal micrometers. I'm also looking for advice from the company about spring rates and rose jointing the rear end. I can hang on a couple of weeks on the suspension side of the build...

Re: Race performance modified

As I mentioned above it's not an off the shelf job as the legs need to be shortened and machined to suit the coilovers and I'm running an e30 rear end on it so may need to adapt some some of rose jointed set up. If it was something I could just buy and bolt on it would be a perfect solution.

Re: Race performance modified

Issue is it's not an off the shelf gaz kit as it's for my e10

Hopefully he will get back to me tomorrow as I think I have directly emailed him this time! It's just good to know someone can vouch for them!

Race performance modified

Has anyone used them? I've tried to contact them about a custom set of GAZ coilovers and had no reply being a fairly expensive product you would think they would be glad for the custom but no joy so far and there isn't a contact number

Re: M42 supercharged build!

I've seen a few applications using the m45 bolted straight onto a plenum making 200hp roughly cheap way of doing it with a fair result but a twin screw charger kicks out serious heat so intake charge pressure sky high! I'm aiming to make a bracket and run through an intercooler into my own plenum. I...

M42 supercharged build!

I am currently building a 2002 with an m42 and an eaton m62 charger. I picked up the engine from a 318is and the charger from a mercedes. I'm currently building an inlet plenum to bolt to the split manifold! I was so glad to see that the manifold split in to two parts! I'll post photos of this when ...
