BMW will supply a new fuel tank for about £640, it's the fitting and anything else hidden that needs replacing when you remove it that things start to add up.

I've had 2, a 1989 2.7 Lux and, just a couple of years ago, a 1983 2.5. Fabulous cars. Also had a 924 Turbo once.

Spotted a white E30 E reg convertible at the Airyhall library crossroads in Aberdeen at lunchtime today. Anyone on here? If so, I was in a black E92 M3.

Yes, seems to look pretty good. Apart from mine and that one the only other one I see is a maroon-ish red saloon on an E plate.

No, not mine. Where I see it parked regularly is a mile or so from Bridge Street.

Thanks guys. Totally original and rust/rot free. 96k on the clock so a few marks here and there but very solid. It will have every penny needed spent to keep it as good as possible but no extras or improvements as such, the M3 is my priority. It's my every day car so I don't have to get my M3 out of...

I insured my 1998 example under a classic policy with Footman James a couple of years ago.
