E30 Zone

Hi I need to remove my sump on the e30 what's the best way to do it ?

Is does get better once it's warmed up but know I think turbo I brought had a damaged seal as it pissing out smoke grrrrr

Not got a idle control valve on it anymore. The megasquirt was installed before I got the car but I've rebuilt everything just using wiring . Il look at the links cheers

I can try , got to plug it in to laptop on weekend first time I've tried it tho .

I think so got it in and tightened in by modifying the e30 ujs took the rubber guibo bit out and bolted that part together and it fits in just about but know its clashing with my down pipe ! Grrr

Any idea why my e30 would be hunting or have a rough idle ? Have had engine rebuilt etc all hoses and pipes are back on just doesn't want to tick over ? [/code]

Have had my engine rebuilt lightened flywheel went to start yesterday but when turn over starter motor sounds like it screeching abit there's no grinding noises . Any ideas what it could be have I wired it wrong to make that noise ?

Can anyone help with my last issue with fitting the newer rack everything is in and piped part from one power steering pipe comes from the bottle it s the smaller pipe of the two . Anyone now where it goes

I've spoken to Danthe he Said the e30 linkage works just not sure what I've done wrong . Gunna move the rack forward on the subframe and see if that give the room to fit it in

Fitted the 067 purple tag e46 steering rack on to my e30 this weekend but struggling to work out how and what to do with the e30 steering linkage how do I get it to fit in properly ? Any help is much appreciated a˜Ž

How much for the kit Danthe ?? Also is it an easy swap I don't actually know how it is done haven't found any write up on how to do it

Hi , getting a coupe e30 looking to put something different and abit more economical than my e30 325i m20 turbo . I'm wanting to put something in like a e46 330d in or something similar with good power ? Any ideas ? Thanks

I was getting confused when you said about the cover plate as didn't know much about the fly wheel and clutch assembly . There's the thin plate behind the flywheel . The flywheel with the metal washer and bolts that go on . Then I've ordered a clutch kit that I assume bolts to the flywheel ?

I have used a m20b20 flywheel and bolted to block have a 335i stage 3 clutch on order will this fit as I thought that all m20 flywheels where the same .

Hi just got myself a cheap 320i for spares . Would I be able to use the the flywheel for a 325i ? Are they the same as I need one for my e30 turbo?

It was running beginning of the year person I brought it off had had a turbo conversion done on a early high compression engine which the head gasket went it already had the megasquirt wired in . I brought a low comp later block had it rebuilt and am now in the process of refitting back in the e30. ...

Trying to remove the head on a old 325e engine , the problem I've come across is the head bolts are being a pig to get out I've removed most of them one has snapped and 3 are spinning and won't come all the way out , also there is no movement in the head what so ever ?
