Hi all...

Quick question regarding JOM Blueline coilovers.

Will the saloon kit fit a convertible?

Thanks

Private Message Function Issue

Hi all... I seem to be having a problem with my Private Message feature on here. Some of the messages I send are hanging around in my Outbox, not being sent straight away and ending up in my sentbox. My sent box has room for them. Is it that the recipient has a full inbox? Thanks for any help. Jamie

Sorry, maybe I'm missing something here.

Is it broken then? Or just not secured in place?

Thank you.

Should it be randomly sitting there, or should it be secured somewhere?

What's This?

Hi all... I was under the bonnet the other day and found something just loose and free to do it's own thing. Guessing it should be secured somewhere, somehow. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c222/bassjamm/IMG_0419.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c222/bassjamm/IMG_0418.jpg Any thoughts or adv...

Re: Bonnet Alignment

So basically it's all about the nuts and bolts at the front of bonnet where it attaches yeah? Undo them a bit, line them up a bit differently, and see if it's fixed?

Re: 318iS Coilover Question

They wont go low on the front of a 4 cylinder car as the kits are meant for a heavier 6 cylinder as mwggriffiths said. The ride is pretty shocking at the height my cars at the moment, almost feels like they at the end of their travel already which is weird. Alot of people in the US have had good re...

Re: 318iS Coilover Question

I'm going for low to be fair guys, just how I want to ride...but I don't think I can stretch to the price the more expensive coilovers are.

I appreciate all the input and advice though guys.

Bonnet Alignment

Hi all,

Got my E30 back from the mechanics this week. They needed to remove the bonnet, but they've not lined it back up properly when refitting it.

How to I adjust how it's aligned so I can make it square again please?

Thanks

Re: 318iS Coilover Question

Why don't they go low on the front then? Hmm...haven't heard of that set up on the front. Got any links? I've heard that running coilovers on the rear requires new top mounts so the springs have more clearance. But no idea about the fronts...but what you've said (moza15) is a bit worrying. How's the...

318iS Coilover Question

Hi all, I know that a lot of you on here don't approve of coilovers on the iS as it's already running low in the sump department, and I know JOM's aren't too popular, but please bear with me. Can someone please confirm which set of the JOM Blueline Coilover kits will fit the 318iS? I'm guessing it's...

Glove Box Handle

Hi all... A few weeks back someone went to open my glovebox in the E30 and the handle came off in their hand. Nothing snapped or anything like that, just the handle came off. I managed to get it to slot back in, however it no longer feels spring loaded as it were, feels very flimsy and you have to m...

Re: Price Please For E92 Top Hats + 3mm Spring Pads

Thanks Brett,

Is that a price for just the top hats, or the top hats and the spring pads please?

I've had another set back with my M42's head but I should be ordering these when I know that's sorted.

Thanks again.

Price Please For E92 Top Hats + 3mm Spring Pads

Hi there, I'm not 100% I'm going to be asking the right questions here, so bear with me please. But I'm looking to lower the my 318iS slightly. I've heard the E92 top hats fit the suspension on the E30's, and that I can drop a few mm by getting thinner spring pads for my suspension all round. So can...

Re: Bad day for the iS

If you've lowered your car then it's worth buying subframe bushes designed the raise the subframe 12mm higher into the car. This will put the geometry closer to standard and correct the roll centre The car's lowered 40mm on springs all round... Are the subframe bushes different from the rear bushes...

Re: Bad day for the iS

Woah...this is all getting a bit hefty now guys, way over my head...ha! But I did ask :D so thanks for all the input. From the sounds of what you guys are saying on the weird noise front, it's something else that's happened. All in hand though. And the oil leak is definitely from the head gasket. I ...

Re: Bad day for the iS

Thanks pal...

I'm trying to find out the difference between the profile and the head gasket.

Kind of feel bad questioning my mechanic as he's never done me wrong, but we're talking about a lot of money here I guess.

Re: Bad day for the iS

Also, I doubt the head gasket has gone. More likely is the profile gasket at the very front of the engine or the cam cover rubber gasket - but you don't say where it's leaking from. I couldn't find it...other than the oil all over my drive anyway. My mechanic diagnosed it and I've no reason to doub...

on my old is, and a common fault with e30s, is the hand break shoes in the rear drums, its held in via a pin in the backing plates, the hole rusts through and the pin comes out and the break shoes come loose, and make a funny noise I believe that's the issue yeah...something's come loose in the o/s...

Hmm...I get greens as I turn the ignition.

But as I drive along I get the annual check lights come up as mentioned.

I'm guessing if it's recently been serviced that I can gets these switched off?
