Done it but thanks for the reply - I didn't take whole console out - just undid nut inside ashtray and removed handbrake gaiter. Found wiring for power aerial and ran with that. Only needed to push under edges of console to reach radio slot. Spent more time stripping and crimping connecters for spea...

Ah, oh dear. Thanks for the info. Still, I suppose I've done most of the hard bit. I only get 1.5 - 2 hrs a week on the project so I hope the 'under the carpet done the transmission tunnel' bit isn't as bad as it sounds

I have a 1986 316 auto - no rear speakers fitted. I want to fit some basic OEM-looking rear speakers (and recolour the rear shelf) but having got the seats and parcel shelf out - cannot see any wiring for rear speakers.
