Just to confirm, this has nothing to do with the C101 bit mentioned? If not, where does the end of the CID lead go to? It looked to me like it ran down through the timing belt cover somewhere (was dark mind you)

Is that thing in the link above.I changed the HT leads and managed to snap it off! I assume you have to buy a genuine set of leads to replace it as there seemed no way other than cutting the leads to get it off and back on?

Realised that the sensor and cable on my 318 cab has broken off the HT lead.I had no idea what the cable was for, but searched the wiki to see it should control injector firing. Ok, a few things to go on there.Cheers. It's so annoying as it just turns over and over and over.I have to hold the key as it does so, listening to it part catch, part catch again, then again and again and again.It eventually starts if you do it this way and is then fine. Something else of a mystery...

Would it still start perfectly every day, engine or weather hot/ cold if it were injectors though mate?
This only happens if you leave it a few days.I was assuming it would be choke or sensor related etc.

My car is rather odd.It starts quietly from cold and after say 30 or so seconds, starts to tap.A minute later, it goes quiet again, a minute after that it taps again and a minute after that it will stay quiet almost constantly until a cold start again where this proccess repeats itself.

Well worth selecting the 1080p and full screen options (even if you have to pause it, wait for it to load then come back and hit play).It loses so much at the lower resolutions.
