Re: Handbrake Cable Firmly Stuck In Control Arm

Mine was the same, I think I hammered the cable out with a drill bit and then part number 3 pulls out.

Re: Brake discs...

Personally I go with Brembo when I can. Euro car parts are doing 50% off with code PART75 so 2 front vented discs for £40. I ordered front and rear with pads and handbrake kit last year for less than £150.

Re: Running on three cylinders

Only other thing to check is blue temp sensor but it doesn't sound like that's your issue. As said above ECU seems most likely. You could take one of the injectors that is not 'working' and plug it in to the wiring of one that is just to rule out a blocked injector or 3 but it's not likely that 3 ar...

Re: M20 -Strong smell of fuel after changing blue temp senso

As above, but if all OK you disconnect the battery to reset the ECU. I normally do this over night but i think most people say 30 mins. Then let it idle for 10 mins before taking it for a drive.

Re: Electrics playing up

As Satan has said fuse 10 and 21 are used on the OBC and the instrument cluster but 10 is not used for the interior light so 21 and the wiring would be my suspects. Also what car is it and what happened before the faults? (has it been worked on or not used) Have the Si battery been changed? Have som...

Re: Can someone help me identify this part?

I think it uses pressure from the power steering and not the manifold. http://bmwe32.masscom.net/maxf_website/booster/booster.htm Have a read of this, its actual going from what you have to a servo but has lots of info. Keep us up to date if you do discover anything as I don't think I have seen or h...

Re: Can someone help me identify this part?

The silver part stamped ATE is a hydraulic /Power Brake Booster. It looks similar to part number 34331156925 that was used on quite a few BMWs, have a couple of links: https://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-E24-E28-E30-Power-Brake-Booster-OEM-ATE-Premium-Quality-Warranty-/150793016340?_trksid=p2349526.m4383.l...

Re: Snapped Cable, How to Open Bonnet?

I would guess it's an aftermarket grill, you could drill out that slot or just put one hole in it, in the centre but that makes it hard to see what you are doing. You can find new ones for about £15 if you make a mess of it. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-3-E30-1983-1990-FRONT-LEFT-SIDE-HEADLIGHT-GR...
