Re: Looking at an E30 316i - what to pay?

Thanks for the input Foe. If it was a 2dr lux (regardless of engine) I'd have jumped at it. My fave is a glacier blue 318i Lux. I saw one on ebay last week converted from auto to manual and it was lovely. but tbh this isn't a purchase I'm making as project, just a bit of fun, so I couldn't justify t...

Looking at an E30 316i - what to pay?

Hi All, Long time no speak! I sold my 4dr 325 a good while back and now through a friend I've heard about a local 2dr 316i is about to be advertised for sale. They let me have a look before advertising to see if i'm interested. They don't know an awful lot about cars but have a BMW specialist who ha...

Re: I'm an idiot - Chip fitting.

If it can be repaired for less than a replacement then i'd give that a go i think. Or do i just give up and get one that hasn't been messed with?

Why 4 ecu versions for the same car?

Re: I'm an idiot - Chip fitting.

The 'main' chip?? Which one is that?

I did this this evening indoors before it got dark and just turned the light on for the photo.

Double fail.

I'm an idiot - Chip fitting.

The removable chip had a cover over it and i missed it. So i tried to remove the soldered 28 pin chip next to it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/Con2K/BMW%20325i%20E30/6E53263A-BE20-497B-9512-45620B4202A2-28444-000018C63B46FCA7_zps5982b2a8.jpg Is it game over? Rough 325i 160k Worth ECU/other upgrade?

Hello all, my partner has a '89 325iSE 4dr. It's done about 160k miles. Currently it is not road legal but trailered to drift/track days. It's a bit rough looking but runs OK and pulls well. Love the sound of the 6pot!! It has however recently acquired a lumpy idle. Due to the limited use of the car...

Re:

That clears that up then. Many Thanks.

Saw a 100k mile Glacier one on ebay. Tried to ask a few questions and got a very rude reply. Somehow it's already at £2500!!! Looks lovely though.

So Cirrus is the 320ise I posted up then? The search continues...

Re: Glacier(Cirrus) Blue 2drs - Availability?

It could be Cirrus jim. I did some digging and came back as thinking it was Glacier. I could be wrong. I'll happily be corrected either way. Another angle showing the colour: http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb323/e30ns/photo47.jpg Just done more digging, eurgh, Geoff the previous owner stumbled ...

Glacier(Cirrus) Blue 2drs - Availability?

After falling completely for nickstoners 320ise in the for sale section (criminally low asking price, wish I saw it sooner!). What is the availability of Glacier Blue 2dr coupes? Dont really mind which engine, auto, manual, but would prefer a late E30 and not an M tech kitted one. The reason for thi...

Oh, in conjunction with the cluster backlights failing, Would an earth issue cause the on board computer display next to the heater controls to go blank when I turn the headlights on!?? Anytime I turn the side/headlights on, the OBC just goes blank. Turn them off and it's back! Didn't used to do tha...

Lol. Cheers mate. Well the LH indicators come on when you turn the hazard switch on. (obviously the RH side come on too then) but there is nothing when you flick the stalk. BUT, turn the hazards on and the left indicator and the hazards work like normal (overriding the turn signal), but when u half ...

Our New SouthWest E30 + Parts wanted, Issues resolved

Hey everyone, The girlfriend has just bought an E30 325i SE 'loon and it needs a few bits and peices sorting. Is there any in scrapyards down Somerset way that might have some in? I have tried the Bridgwater one (Next to BMW dealership), but none there. W-S-M near the airfeild, a white touring there...
