Driver seat - a bit cramped?
The driver seat doesn't seem to go back far enough on my four-door - does anyone know whether the 2-door or touring give more room? (Not really bothered about the back seat passengers ).

Re: What tyres?!?!
If you can get to Costco, their Michelin Energy Savers in that size are £49 (a few pennies less) each, including balancing, new valves &c.

Hello,
Could I have a price (delivered, Maidenhead) for a cambelt kit and thermostat? Plus anything else recommended to be replaced during a cambelt change.
cheers,

Cheers, it seems the book overstates the trickyness - the online guides seem easy enough.

Cambelt change
Hello,
I was wondering how many people here had done this themselves.
I'm considering it for my 320i Auto, but reading the Everett 'Restoring E30's...' book has put me off a little, he mentions problems with access and accessory belts.

Re: Getting my new E30 today.
I got an auto 320i this week as well - it's certainly relaxing
I was reading the Everett E30 book and he repeatedly says not to have the engine idling in N or P, just have it in one of those positions for starting.

If Jimmy Saville owned an E30, it would look just like that.

Re:
As a reference I paid roughly £850 for TPFT for my (old school) Fiat Panda as my first car in 2000. I knew I couldn't afford to insure a bigger engined car, so I didn't buy one.
As many people on the thread have already said - get a smaller engined car and put this down as a lesson.

Re: New 320i work and parts question
Thanks for the replies. I'll be ringing up Cotswold - beats having to give up working on it Sunday when I realise I don't have the right bit.
BTW I've started noticing E30's all of a sudden - saw a looked-after medium blue coupe coming in to Basingstoke on the A33 this morning.

Re: 17" 'Alpina' alloys
They fill the arch, but they don't hit any of the body work - and that's going over speed bumps too.
I'm trying to keep the car 'standard', so they're coming off.
I'll post some pics tomorrow in the 'Introductions' thread.

17" 'Alpina' alloys
Hello,
My 320i currently has 17" rims with 205/50 on the back and 204/40 on the front.
I've got an eye on some 14" standard alloys on eBay, but in the meantime can anyone suggest tyre pressures for these?
I've tried searching but had no luck.

New 320i work and parts question
Hello, Hello I picked up a 320i auto in good nick yesterday with just 64K miles to do up and pass on to my sister. I've been looking on Euro Car Parts and am a little confused as to what to get, as there are multiple parts listed for my model, by the same company, for different prices! I'm after: 1)...
