Sorry guys, I know it's been discussed but I've used the search facility and can't find the answer; Can anyone please jog my memory and tell me the name of the silver used on the BBS 15" alloys ? Also, does it have a code that I can use to get some made up or is it available in a tattle can? Many th...

Thank you
I'd already considered the removal, but from past experience with other marques getting the old badges re-affixed is usually problematic; I'll try Cotswolds on Monday

Sajid1 - top fella

Recently bought 'only' a battery clamp and bolt from him; he included both sorts of bolt for no extra cost, and kept me updated as to when the item had been posted etc.
It arrived the following day, so a big 'thank you' from me.

Re: hpi check is this car a damage repair have a look ?

Worth 20-25% less as a result of its unfortunate past. Personally, unless it has a full engineers report, I wouldn't ever buy a car with a cat c or d in its history; just a personal preference I guss, but you are unlikely to get detailed info about the accident damage, and who/where it was repaired ...

Failing that, There are smart repairers who can easily tackle that, usually found in major towns around the country.
I've used one from Nottingham before on a 3dr Cosworth I had, the finish was superb.

Re: Buyers Galore

Mate of my mine has an A reg Audi 80 Sport, pretty much mint, but 130k, keeps asking if I'll swap my 1990 G 320i SE for it. Mines done 61k, so I'm a bit.... unsure. Admitted mine needs a full service (I've got all the fluids, filters, plugs etc), new discs & pads (got those too) and a set of tyres (...

E30 '320i' rear badge - where to obtain one?

As per the above; I'm going to be machine polishing the old girl, (the car, that is, not SWMBO!) and am intending removing the existing badge. I don't want to faff about removing the old adhesive foam stuff, and then cutting minute pieces of new double sided tarp to fit. Will I have to source one fr...

E30 320i BBS 15" wheels; what tyres sizes are correct ?

Hi guys, My 1990 E30 320i has 15" BBS alloys, currently fitted with 205/55 15 tyres When I type my reg into the Blackcircles website, the options it gives are; 195/65 14 VR, or 195/60 14 HR so no use at all. Can anyone tell me when fitting replacement tyres if I should be fitting 205/55 15 or 196/60...

Re: Which suspension kit for a standard ride height rebuild?

Why? Because I'm contemplating a rebuild back to as near as new condition as I can, without going 'triller queen' concourse. If you can point me in the direction of someone who can refurbish the originals, I'll gladly go for that. Perhaps I should clarify, I don't want to grease the palm of the Main...

Which suspension kit for a standard ride height rebuild?

Ok guys, I'm probably going to sound daft, but I'm considering a total overhaul of my cars suspension. It's a standard 320i SE 4dr, 1990, 61k Other than replacing bushes and other bits and bobs, I'm looking to replace the struts and springs. Now, I'm not interested at all in a lowering kit, as I wan...

May I politely ask, if the body is rotten and the interior is rough, is there evidence to suggest that the engine is ok? I'm just thinking that if the owner couldn't be bothered with bodywork or the environment he sits, he/she probably wouldn't spend money on any maintenance?

Genuine, decent ones appear to be getting quite rare. I was offered a very low miles / low owners one a while back, guy wanted over £3k for it. To be fair, as an excellent example it was pretty much what I'd expect to pay; I'd get the jobs done that need attending to, have it detailed and probably a...

Re: HID Aftermarket installation regulations and your MOT.

As an ex Police sergeant, just a point of note; as outlined con&use regs as used by the police are different to VOSA / MOT rules. Just be aware that cops who are on the ball (usually traffic cops in this instance) will have you if the bulbs / HiD units aren't 'e' marked. This can result in, at the m...
