Re:
are you planning on using an external wastegate ?
because on all of the holsets ive used i have blocked the internal off as the outlet is far too small causing the boost to creep.
tial or turbosmart do good wastegates.

Re: Water pump failing?
does sound like it, is there any leaking of water or any funny bearing noises, could be that the veins on the pump have worn or broke off or the actual impeller has broke free of the pulley and is only pumping at high rpm.

Re: Alpina B6 3.5s E30 M3
leave the car as is, nothing even slightly council about it, you see m3s with bbs and a rake constantly, bit of an insult calling the m8s car council really, keep up the good work m8, nice find even if it is a replica, a wee tidy up and it will be awsome.

Re: Auto v's manual transmission loss
need to remember its not so much the loss in power, as a automatic tranny is never 100 percent locked and the engine is basically turning a large oil pump you lose response more than anything else. a auto car never picks up like a manual does when you get youre foot down, thats what i always bear in...

i usually just use old stuff in a wee runaround. you got any extremely non performance oriented cars. atleast then you dont need to worry about pre ignition or knocking on a runaround.

ok ive tracked it down to the crank sensor as theres almost 0 resistance across it. ive looked on euro car parts and there are two listed for my car. one has a resistance of 550 ohms and the other cheaper one has a resistance of 900 ohms. whats the difference between these and does it matter which o...
