Re: Track Car Debate
I have a locust kit car, twin 45's, 2l pinto, full stainless manifold and exhaust, it goes like stink, sounds out of this world, handles amazingly and really cheap to mod/uprate. I would recommend one of them, not expensive to buy/run and turns more heads than any e30 i have had. Keeps up with most ...

Ever viewed a car and later regretted not buying it?
I was thinking about this the other day and two e30s really stickout in my mind............... 1st. An E30 m3 6 years ago for £5000, the only reason I didnt buy it was that it had some rust around the front windscreen, apart from that it was in good condition. 2nd. A 2.7 Hartge for £600 about 5 year...

Re: Red E30s
Just been to Weston-Super_Mare in my red convertible and the only e30s i saw just happened to be red convertibles! One ignored me but the other flashed his lights. E30s seem to be the only 20 year old still being used on a regular basis, cant remember the last time I saw an rs turbo, escort cosworth...

Re: Is it just me or...........?
Fair enough, if a car is going to get clocked its going to get clocked. Just got myself a new drill and my e30 now has 3000 miles from new but the previous owner didnt send the history to back it up as the one lady owner promised. Honest guv!

Re: Is it just me or...........?
I suppose condition is if the first and foremost to buy on especially if backed by the correct history. Tampering with the mileage is probably just as common for cars on limited mileage as well, an acquintance of mine used to do the same with his cortina.

Is it just me or...........?
Just interested in zoners opinions on whether an e30s cluster instruments should be sold on the zone. I was thinking that it is making it a little too easy for people to clock the mileage. This would be easy to spot if the car comes with full history but could make it a minefield otherwise. I know s...

Re: your worst experiences with your E30
My school boy error was the 325i i had just bought conked out (fuel pump) and i was desperate to get it home. Couldnt find the towing eye so just put the tow rope on the front end, it ended with the front end being virtually ripped off. I nearly cried.

E36, 316i, m3 replica...am i mad?
As in the title just bought a 316i, e36, full m3 replica for £750. Came in as part ex at my mates garage and i couldnt help myself. Not a bad replica actually just a pity about the 1.6 engine. Never had an e36 before, is there anything to watch out for etc?

Re: 182,000 miles alot or not?
Just a quick footnote to my original posting. Did a six hundred mile round trip this week in it and it didnt miss a beat. It drove really well, didnt use much juice and even got the thumbs up from someone on the motorway! Now on 183000 miles, was well chuffed. Dont know why i waited so long to get a...

ok cheers for that, dont really need the hardtop as the cab has a newish roof in good nic. the hardtop will just take up too much space.

Hardtop
Not an had an e30 for years but just bought a 325i cab this week with intergalatic mileage. Was just wondering what its hardtop is worth these days? Sales invoice with its says it cost £995 two years ago and its still in very good condition.

Rough on start up?
When i start my 325i in the morning it is really rouhg for 1-2 mins until it has slightly warmed up (sounds like it is not running on all cylinders). once warmed up the engine is fine, no problems. when hot it will then start first turn of the key. but if it warm and then let to col down for 20 mins...

Slip diff oil?
Having just got my hands on a sport diff, i wanted to change the oil. However, after visiting my local bmw dealer they told me it is not available unless i take my car in and they change it for me (dealer prices). i was told the reason is because they buy the oil in drums and therefore cant sell it ...
