I'm making a mess wiring the S52 engine into my E30 and i was thinking about scrapping all the wiring from the E30 (318i) and fitting all the wiring from the E36 M3 with bits lengthend and cut out for needless approch. M20 flywheel on M50?

Just a quick before the transplant. I know this is shown to be the most favourable option when doing the M50 conversion. I'd just like to know what the pro's and con's are for this set up due to having to lighten and balance the M20 fly? Has anyone had problems with maintaining a constant speed at l...

Re: forged rods and pistons for turbo m20

Anything from £400 to £750 depending on what strength and compression you want and where in the world they are coming from and what company your willing to purchase from. Brands I looked at like Wiseco only have the M50 and S14 off the shelf forged pistons for lower and normal compression, lets say ...

Z3 Quick rack

Never had the opportunity to run one on a E30 Is it worth it for drifting competitions and what does it do for your handling apart from steer quicker? Good points, bad points, are they worth the hassle and straight forward to fit? Anyone with experience using a quick rack on the E30 please let me kn...

Re: E30 320i 1989 Suspension Information Needed!

Its worth the money for the coil overs as it does make a difference to the set up as you can adjust the ride for a more stiffer aggressive stance, this would be for the likes of track days, using the coil-overs in the same way on the roads would do more harm than good if not set up properly, you wou...

Re: Glued on spoiler?

Try heat or a heat gun on the underside of the boot where the spoiler is, if worst comes to worst, just tear it of without changing the shape of the boot lid while your doing it an take the outta boot lid back to the base coat or metal an respray it. Keep the thread updated with your progress for mo...

Re: Benefits of a intercooler on a turbo car

With air passing through the intercooler after being recycled from the turbo it cools the flow of air being forced into the intake manifold, making more for horse's from the engine. The reason for more hp's is when the air leaves the turbo it has expanded due to the heat and the intake cant take the...

Re: forged rods and pistons for turbo m20

As stated above, there are many companys that do the forged piston kits an the stronger lighter conrod kits. Wiseco will do a custom low compression stroker kit for you but its not going to be cheap and you'll more than likely have to go through a U.K. dealer to get it as its an American manufacture...

In relations to what has been talked about, i have a small quick question. The only problem i have with the M20 Build, is i'm not not sure where to put the turbo oil fee...
