Re: Still overheating! Help!

Its a 320i. Do you mean the two pipes that go into the grommit and into the engine bay - Where the heater control valve pipe comes out? So take it off then wait until coolant comes from the pipe and the hose>?

Any idea why the lower hose for the rad is cold?

Still overheating! Help!

Hi there, I recently changed my cambelt, waterpump and thermostat. I bled the system and everything seemed ok. Then it started overheating again in traffic but settling down when moving, so i narrowed that down to the fan - Ive now changed the fan. Thing is i have gone to re-bleed the system but i c...

Re: Water leak passenger footwell

If theres no joy sourcing a sh one, is it worth taking it out and rebuilding the seals like Jamese said? Or is it more likely the thing is stuffed? When i turned it on today after a while steam started spraying out of it!

Re: Water leak passenger footwell

Ok then its not the heater matrix, ive gone to ecp and that part is like a radiator. Its the box that goes inbetween the pipes on that. Just to the right of the glovebox, the car is steaming from there now when i turn it on!

Re: Water leak passenger footwell

dash out job! That sounds like a knightmare, just had a flashback to that programme knightmare when they wore the helmet and got guided around haha.

Yea i thought that the main problem would be just loss of coolant but i wondered if the leak could cause the engine to over heat?

Bleeding coolant system help!

Ive changed all of my belts, water pump and thermostat. Im just refilling the coolant now, problem is that im thinking the coolant should come out of the bleed valve when you fill with coolant. There is none running out of mine. Ive turned over the engine and the radiator pipes dont seem to be getti...

Re: E30 Road Trip

Ok then ill give the timing belt a go, i've read through the how to's from this site that have been linked into various posts. Re: Removing Brake discs/calipers

No i havent taken that out yet, ill do that now. Does that make a difference to the two bolts?

Its just the angle, to really get a good leverage on the bar it would need to be higher, well ill go back outside and try some more force with a bar!

Removing Brake discs/calipers

Right then, Ive just started to try and take the calipers off so that i can renew the brake pads and discs on my new cabby. Hi,

Im looking at a 320 convertible auto. Theres a dial near to the handbrake that can be turned to E, S, and 3:2:1 irrc.

Just wondering what this is, im thinking it must have something to do with the diff, ive tried searching but searching but cant find anything?

Cheers!
