Sorry if this comment comes across as attempting to get you to suck eggs but remember any system used has to be able to withstand the rigors of a crash and hold the seat in place. :thumb:

if the engine has been run without this first being sorted it'll be kaput and cheaper to source another engine.

bud all that I can make out from that vid is your elbow, a steering wheel (tech 1) a few random wobbly panning shots of bits under the bonnet. Can we have a picture please that is lit and shows the item you are trying to sort.

just get a good second hand rack from a trader/fragger on here or if anywhere near the M25 J2 have a look here www.fastbimmer.co.uk Wipers could be down to the stalk, wiring issue (check the motor connector) and also the wiper motor. my advice would be not to drive at night untill its sorted. Where are you located? a good auto electrician will rectify the shoddy, dangrous work done to your car. does it groan all the time or when on full lock.
If itss full lock thats normal, well has been on the PAS systems I've used.
Loads of grief to search for part nums on my pda but doubt you'll need more than new seals and bearings.

Is this the latest trend in filler caps, is painting the flap a different colour/ smartie sticker effect sooo last year.
maybe all you scoffers should have first asked this.
Maybe there is a hole cut in the rear seat and top of the tank to allow fuel to be added. Would explain a lot.

I went to my fav road the other day and reset the trip computer, i averaged 18mpg :D I have a 318 8v touring and daren't work it out but I bet it's not much more than your 18. thinking of keeping the car as its all original and in good nic. Sorry for the hijack but had thoughts of 318is conversion.
