Re: Cleaning heater matrix

On one of my 190’s I was getting next to bugger all heat put the heater, eventually I discovered that a prior owner had used some rad sealer shite and it has nearly blocked the maxtrix. I flushed it with a lime scale degrease and the results impressive- about half a bucket of crap came out . Nice an...

Re: Warm Starting Problems ?

unless you have the equipment to properly overhaul and more importantly balance each injector you will be wasting your time- they need cleaning via ultrasonic, balancing and fitting with new seals et al- Injectortune will do the lot for £15.00 per injector. most zoners simply purchase a used set fro...

Re: Warm Starting Problems ?

if the history is silent on them being overhauled (adding some injector clearer to the fuel is meaningless btw) remove them and have them cleaned, removal guide is in the wikki - its straight forward , injectortne (one of the traders) can overhaul then for about £12-15 per injector.

Re: M10 Carb v Injection

Anything is possible, but this will largely come down to you skill level and how much money your prepared to spend. An injected m10 is not vastly different performance wise from carb (I’ve owned one of each).

If power is your desire your money and time would be better spent on an engine swop.

If you elect to do a manual swop I have a ZF m20 Manual gearbox in my stash - I believe this was from an E28( I’ve had it done the late 90’s).

Re: A Idle Water Slide Valve Conundrum... HELP?!?!

Pull them and have them overhauled - search for one of the traders-injectortune, he rebuilt and balanced all of mine for something like about £10 per injector, but this was about 3 years ago.

No brainer

Increased braking (within reason) is never s bad thing. Whilst such a conversion may not increase the price of your car it’s a sensible upgrade in my view.

Of course you should, why not. This is just my opinion and if the car was mine, I would do a ground up restoration and being an Oem fanatic I would it keep totally Original apart from a set of 15" bbs anyway good luck.
and a set of front fog lights.

Re: Flat spot on accel.

when i overhauled my B20 i carefully examined most of the air horses (off the car) and found a number of them had small splits - most look fine when on the car.

age and heat makes the hoses brittle and ultimately crack.

I would remove the hoses one by one and examine them for peace of mind.

by the sounds of it you have a low mile chromie (i have one of the same year). Theses are only going one way price wise and an original car with stock engine will always be worth more. Unless you going to get a full on conversion by the likes of Danthe an engine swap will likely only devalue your ca...
