yes, but motorist advices to install cast-iron sleeve and hone them to piston size.
Also whatever another used block has own working defect.

m50b25 block question

I bought m50b25 engine and m54b30 pistons for stroke.
Block checking shows that it was honed to second repair (D=84.5mm).
What do you advice: installing block sleeve or changing block?

Asked today Quaife about produce the rack so they told they cannot done it.

"We can confirm that a sample rack was provided to us some months ago for quotation, but unfortunately after
inspecting the rack Is was concluded that we were unable to re-produce it."

Guys, are you talking about springs at standard place without rear coilover unit.
I choose GAZ fr 500lbs and rr 375lbs for drifting all are coilovers units. Hope it will be Ok! for first time riding.

rix313, did you consider rebuilding of the powerstering racks? Why just manual?

And one more: sorry for my stupid question but if quife cut the teeth of the rack to make it quicker so I need to supply to them my donor rack to cut it, isn't it?

here is rebuilding of AE86 rack which my friend did. He bought rebuild kit from Quaife.

Stock contents are in bottom and the Quaife are above.

Here is a pic of them fitted http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a155/Danharborow/rearbush.jpg Simply remove the lower supporting plate, push these into the bushes and refit the plate. Tools required - 22mm spanner, 5mm hex key and a jack, fairy liquid helps :) Clear) Don't need for powerflex bushes....

Those are just casting numbers, and no real help in identifying the diff. There should be a metal tag under one of the bolts holding the rear cover on. If this is missing, take the rear cover off to identify if it's a slipper or not, and count the teeth on the crown wheel and pinion to determine th...

I noticed the most coilovers are sold have softer front then rear. But for drift is prefered vice versa.
What advantages and disadvantages has harder front?
