The gold wheels are ace! It reminds me of something but I can't recall what...
Also I've never liked silver Alpinas on a red car, there's just too much silver going on and it just looks awkward, Alpinas work better with dark colours or silver cars.

As above, you are allowed to stop on double yellow lines to allow passengers to board or alight from your vehicle so get a claim in and get your car fixed to your satisfaction, tosser should have been looking where he was going!

Nah, it's bolted on at the sides, where the hinges are, and there are the visible screws around the rear and that's it.

Re: baur hood fitting guide..
Hmm if you've got your new roof isn't it obvious where it folds and where the screws go? Or is it a brand new roof with no holes or anything? As that really could be quite tricky and I can't really help as all I did was swap my horrible old roof for one in better condition which was already on a fra...

Re: baur hood fitting guide..
When I removed mine it did appear that the fabric had been glued to the aluminium panels but it wasn't still stuck when I took it off and when I put the new one on I didn't stick them back on as the fabric is held in place by the screws and pressure between the panels and the rubber seal. I can take...

Re: wheel fitment question
You'd need some centre-bore/hub centric spacers. Not much point in modifying the centrebore of the wheel when it's going to be so far away from the hub anyway :) I looked into it when I first got mine as a mate had some MINI wheels in his garage and a chap would make the spacers up for me for about ...

Re: baur hood fitting guide..
I swapped mine and it was just a very simple bolt on job although the new one came already on a frame so I didn't have to fit the roof to the frame. The only tricky part were the exposed screws around the bottom of the rear section as they pass through some flat pieces of aluminium and were totally ...

It's a 318i cab lux with an engine capacity of 2.5l, and should be registered as such. It's an silly anomaly with all cars that reference their engine size in the model name.

Modifying a car with a monocoque chassis is a legal minefield, there are cars that have been detailed on here which clearly haven't followed the correct process to make them road legal (as a road legal e30 pickup modified recently should carry a Q plate) and as such they would not be insured, mot'd ...

Gah, time for the embarrassed emote...
Top hose is hot and so is the bottom hose... however unsurprisingly the hose from the bottom of the expansion tank that I had just topped up was cold. I'm sure the top and bottom hoses on my old 205 were on the same side (hastely making excuses now)

Re: E30 bonnet and bootlid replacement badges.
I bought a £3 badge off eBay for my bonnet and although it appears to be legit (has bmw badge and correct part# on the back) it's made from plastic rather than the originals alloy, not sure how it will stand up to the british weather but it certainly looks better than the original at the moment.
